"The Gay Delavals"

Today was the first meeting for my work placement. We arrived at Seaton Delaval Hall at 11 and met in the Saloon room. We were given an introduction to the project, which explained what we would be doing and what it would be for. We've been asked to make Georgian inspired costumes which visitors to the Hall can wear and dress-up in. This would be for 'Whit week' in June. We were then split into two groups and were given a tour of the Hall. I found this very interesting as we were able to gather information and inspiration of the lifestyle of the family.
